My New Holy Grail Lip Liner
I found the one, and it's m.ph by Mary Phillips The Overliner in French Exit. It's the kind of product that instantly earns permanent residency in your makeup bag – pinky nude, creamy, long-lasting. I've been pairing it with the Kulfi Lip Oil in Rose or my favorite lip gloss by Rare.
Little Brown Dress
The traditional LBD can take a seat. Instead, think glossy espresso satin and deep mocha silk slips (I bought this one from Doen in Nantucket: a muted rosy-washed brown). Maybe it’s because I recently went brunette, but suddenly I think everything looks better in brown over black.
Speedcat Season
My usual go-to white leather sneakers were feeling stale, so I impulsively ordered these powder-blue Puma Speedcats and I’ve been living in them ever since. They come in a range of colors – some neutrals, some brights – but all with that perfect sporty, retro look.
Burn Notice
It’s October, which means it's time to start burning candles again. My favorites are Byredo Bibliothèque (smells like old books and soft leather) and Le Labo Figue (reminds me of cozy evenings in). Add a soft blanket, a Gilmore Girls rewatch, and a pumpkin-flavored treat for my ideal Fall night.
The Only Dry Shampoo I Have Ever Liked
I hate dry shampoo, always have. The powdery texture, the residue, the way you can feel the product sitting in your hair? Horrible. But the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini AirWash Dry Shampoo is different: it’s a liquid spray and works better than any powder I’ve tried. I don’t totally understand the science, but I’m convinced it’s magic. (Shoutout to Kristina for this rec – we were both forever changed after one use.)
